Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread headed to Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket
If you happen to be one of the bunch of folks who picked up the spanking new Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket from AT&T, then you would do well to quickly make a check on whether there is a new software update available or not. It does seem as though that Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread has been made available only to Skyrocket owners at the moment, and it remains to be seen just as to what the kind of changes this update will bring, although initial complaints concerning a bug in Google’s Voice Search does seem to have been solved, but apart from that, someone out there needs to compile a bucket list to show what is new with this particular update.
As for folks who have yet to be on the receiving end of a notification concerning the update, you might want to first turn on your Wi-Fi (and make sure that your phone is well charged, or is at least connected to a charger), head on towards Menu > Settings > Software update > Check for updates so that you can kick start the Over The Air (OTA) update. For those who have given it a go, how did you find the update? Any issues with it? Do leave us a word in the comments.
