Apart from reportedly sporting NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 processor, these quad-core tablets are said to run on Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 platform as well! For those wondering what Acer might have up their sleeves, for starters it seems that the Iconia Tab A200 could be the quad-core tablet that Digitimes was referring to. Some are speculating that the A200 could feature a dual-core Tegra-2 processor, but others have said it would be quad-core instead.
Given Digitimes’ report, it seems to corroborate with the latter argument. Either way if both companies are planning to launch said quad-core tablets in Q1 of 2012, there’s a good chance they might be debuting them at CES 2012, so stay tuned!
