T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 benchmarked

The T-Mobile Galaxy S2 will go on sale October 12^th, but before it can even reach consumers nationwide, somebody managed to get their hands a working unit and benchmarked the phone. And if you’re wondering why these benchmarks are interesting – it’s because unlike the AT&T and Sprint Galaxy S2, the T-Mobile variant does not sport the same Exynos processor as the its nearly identical brothers. So how does the Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 fare in the benchmark test?

Well, the phone was put through a Quadrant benchmark and sure enough it posted excellent results. In the video sample released online, the phone hits a score of 3727 which is pretty impressive even though it doesn’t match the 4000+ that has been reported online for the Exynos when overclocked to 1.5GHz. Now these numbers don’t necessarily mean anything – after all, what’s the point of excellent “measured” performance if it doesn’t translate into excellent “perceived” performance?
