Like for other platforms, Spotify for BlackBerry requires a premium subscription in order to work and carries most of the essential features found in the mobile apps for other devices. You get access to all Spotify songs that you would normally have access to, offline playlist support, playlist creation and syncing, the option to star your favorite tracks, “What’s new” and “Top tracks” browsing, Last.fm scrobbling, and you can receive music from friends via the inbox.
The app has been tested on the Bold 9000, 9780 and 9700, Curve 9300 and 8520. Also, it only works on phones running on GSM networks – CDMA network phones and the Torch 9800 are currently incompatible. You can download it from the Spotify website now to give it a shot.
