Nimbuzz lets you make iPhone to PC calls

FaceTime was introduced for the iPhone 4 last year as a way for iPhones to make free video calls to each other over WiFi. Since then it has expanded to other iOS devices such as the iPad and iPod Touch, as well as Mac OS X desktops and laptops, but not on the PC. Since then, there have been apps like Skype that try to fill up this void. Now we have one more to add to the list – Nimbuzz.

Designed for iOS devices and Windows computers, Nimbuzz lets users make video call from iOS device to iOS device, iOS to PC, and PC to iOS over 3G and WiFi. In addition to making regular video calls, Nimbuzz also lets users make video calls minus the audio (users communicate via typing text). This feature allows users to see each other on networks that have restricted VoIP services, which makes it great for folks in the Middle East and Asia Pacific.

Nimbuzz is currently available for PC and iOS, with more platforms such as Android and Symbian on the way. Download it from the Apple App Store or from the Nimbuzz website for the PC version.
