Kindle Touch 3G does not do 3G Web browsing
As a consumer, I am clearly incensed to know that a particular device that I purchased has been restricted in some ways – and this is within reasonable means of course, as electronically limiting the speed in my car is understandable, but to have the Kindle Touch 3G from Amazon not run its Web browser on a 3G connection but Wi-Fi only? Don’t you think that that has proved to be a rather strange move on Amazon’s part?
Perhaps Amazon wants to preserve the Web browsing experience to the confines of Wi-Fi connectivity, despite the fact that you can opt for either 3G or Wi-Fi to connect to the Kindle Store, download books and periodicals, and access Wikipedia.
What do you think of the situation? Will this cause you to pick up a Kindle Touch 3G, or a different tablet that works as it is without any restrictions?
