HP delivers workstations optimized for Adobe, Avid and Sony software

Did you heave a sigh of relief knowing that HP will not be discarding their PC business after all? I am quite sure that Steve Jobs, if he were still to be alive today, would definitely be one of those, as HP was a company whom he looked up to, and hoped that after his passing, Apple would not end up in a similar state. Well, HP’s latest effort in terms of workstations would come in desktop and mobile configurations which have been specially optimized for video editing – particularly playing nice with software from Adobe, Avid and Sony.

Working closely with software partners Adobe, Avid and Sony Creative Software, HP intends that their effort will enable customers who are knee deep in the media and entertainment industries with exclusively designed workstations that are more than capable of handling all the rigors of complex editing.

These workstations will deliver both power and performance in order to meet demanding projects which require advanced technologies, ranging from stereoscopic 3D editing to Blu-ray support and multicamera editing. Oh yeah, legacy project support for traditional tape-based workflows are also thrown into the mix so that the old school folks can have their fair share of fun as well. [Press Release]
