Google Maps updated, boasts NFC support

Google went about quietly updating their Google Maps on Android, where the Internet search giant decided to throw in NFC support – signalling the possibility of future apps arriving with such support as well in order to take advantage of the situation. The official change would be storage related, where Maps is said to be far more efficient than ever before with regards to its method of storing downloaded map data.
