Underneath the hood lies a Rockchips RK2918 processor that is Flash 10.1 certified, but frankly, we are disappointed to see a tablet device run not on Android 3.x Honeycomb (which was specially optimized for tablet use), but rather, it uses Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system instead. At least it is fully upgradable over-the-air (OTA) – so hopefully there is a Honeycomb update coming our way soon.
Other hardware specifications include 4GB of built-in flash memory, a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, a mini USB port, built-in speakers and 4-way G-sensor. Expect to fork out $299.99 for the E FUN Nextbook Premium 8 tablet if you’re interested.
