Relying on electric motors, the Urbee will move you around while having a small ethanol-powered engine to keep it going, hitting an amazing mileage figure of 200mpg. It might be in development for several years already, but the complete printed body shell has never been seen publicly – not until now, that is. There is only one Urbee in existence to date, with the manufacturers keeping their fingers crossed that it will be able to enter commercial production by the time 2014 rolls around.
I wonder just how safe the structural integrity of the Urbee is – one thing is guaranteed though; this is sure to turn heads wherever you go. If you’re holding out for an Urbee in due time, be prepared to fork out anywhere from $10,000 (£6,500) – $50,000 (£33,000), where the final figure greatly depends on whether the Urbee can achieve mass production or not.
