Sweden is now working on rolling out 4G wireless broadband (LTE) in the 800 MHz band, and telecom operators are being rather aggressive when it comes to rolling out such new technologies. Wireless connectivity is not all the Swedes are looking at in the long run though, as the country intends to introduce 90% of its households to speeds of 100Mbps or higher over a fixed line connections – and they have until 2020 to achieve that, which isn’t too far away when you take into consideration the amount of time required for such an effort.
