The device comes in an unmarked form factor, where it has been dubbed as “developer prototype hardware”. Guess this means there aren’t any warranties to work with if anything goes wrong, but the hardware specifications seem to be rather impressive at first glance – an 11.6″ touch-screen display at 1,366 x 768 resolution, a thickness of 12.9mm while tipping the scales at a mere 900 grams. An Intel Core i5-2467M 1.6GHz dual-core processor will run proceedings from within, not to mention 4GB RAM, a 64GB SSD drive, alongside 3G mobile broadband and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Not enough storage space? No problem – pop in a microSD memory card and you’re good to go. Other connectivity options include one USB port, Ethernet, and a micro HDMI connector. No idea on when it will arrive on store shelves, but soon should be a good bet.
