Nissan develops cheaper and smaller quick chargers for EV cars
While EV charging stations aren’t exactly that common, that doesn’t stop Nissan from working on improving them. The company has just announced the launch of its new quick chargers for electric vehicles that are smaller than the current ones they have right now. In addition to taking up less space and being easier to install, the chargers are said to retain the high performance of the current chargers and will be cheaper as well.
These new quick chargers will go on sale later this year in Japan later this year, and US and Europe later at less than $13,000 (1 million yen) each. Nissan hopes to sell 5,000 of the new chargers by the end of March 2016 and will be installing the new charging units at its dealerships as well. Anybody plan to purchase these chargers for their own homes?
