iPhone 5 manufacturing begins in China [Rumor]

There are whispers going around that iPhone 5 manufacturing has already started in China, which certainly paves the way to rumors of Apple rolling out their iPhone 5 in early October (October 21st seems to be the more favored date now). Apparently, Apple’s Chinese subcontractors, Foxconn Technology and Pegatron Technology, have already begun production of the handset according to Japanese IT news site, Macotakara’s danbo.

The report also has an interesting nugget that might just raise the ire of Apple’s fans, as iOS 5 is not yet ready to install, the assembled iPhone is said to be stocked without any form of packaging. Bummer. Right now, the whole world has more or less stopped to look forward to an Apple iPhone 5 release, and word of its prototype being lost in a bar alongside a possible clandestine operation of Apple employees posing as police officers in an effort to regain the lost prototype has been making its rounds, making it the perfect reading fodder over the long weekend.

Will you be one lining up for the new iPhone 5 when it finally arrives (although there is still no official date given yet), or do you think you will stick to the iPhone 4 for the moment and see if there are any issues which needs to be ironed out by Cupertino first?
