The HTC Explorer that had its press shots leaked last week is now official. In a press release issued today, HTC announced the tiny, entry-level Android phone. Touted to be the company’s most affordable smartphone, it features a 3.2″ HVGA (480 x 320) display, a 600MHz processor, a 3-megapixel rear camera, 512MB of internal storage, 384MB of RAM, Android 2.3 with HTC Sense 3.5, and will come in black and blue. Different colored back covers (metallic blue, metallic orange, metallic white and metallic purple) will be released for the phone in the future.
No word on pricing or availability in the States, but it will be released in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia in Q4 2011. Any takers for this budget device?
