Microsoft did confirm earlier that Skype’s service will arrive on the Xbox 360 and Kinect, with Tony Bates, Skype’s CEO, mentioning, “We already got through the US side of it. We still have Europe so it’s anyone’s guess, but I would say we’ve got a couple of months more here. Maybe sort of an October time frame would be my guess.”
Well, better late than never, don’t you think so? Microsoft already picked up Skype for $8.5 billion earlier in the year, and it makes perfect sense if they are going to recoup their investment in creative and different ways – starting with Skype integration in the Xbox 360, perhaps?
