Not long after the final build of Windows Phone 7 Mango leaked out in the wild, we have an “official” statement from Microsoft’s Mobile Business Group director, Peter Wissinger, saying that Mango is has been completed. According to a comment he wrote on Facebook – Mango has been completed ahead of schedule and it’s now up to the manufacturers to get it out to their handsets.
This is great news, seeing how manufacturers (except Nokia) don’t really get to customize Windows Phone, this should mean a pretty fast rollout for the update. After all, the leaked build has already been confirmed to be working for most devices; manufacturers won’t have to go through a lot of trouble to make it work. Stay tuned for official announcements about the update rollouts. How many of you are excited yet?
