With a trio of versions to cater for different budgets, Up! will come in an entry-level model, a comfort-oriented model and the high-end version. It will chug along thanks to a new generation three-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol engine that boasts an output of 60 PS and 75 PS. You get a combined fuel consumption of 4.2 l/100 km (60 PS), where CO2 emissions are also less than 100 g/km. Heck, to make sure Up! is well prepared for the future, an electric drive version is in the works to boot.
The optional City Emergency Braking system comes in handy as well, where it is activated whenever you travel at under 30kph, where a laser sensor will detect the risk of an impending collision. This system will initiate automatic brake interventions should it think that you’re reacting too slowly (or not at all) in an emergency situation. Anyone looking forward to the Volkswagen Up!?
