Remember the classic clamshell Motorola phones that came with an LED notification light out in front, letting you know just which caller group has called or text messaged you with but a glance, simply because the LED light will appear in a different color? Well, Samsung takes a page out of Motorola book with their Epic Touch 4G, which is the only model from the Galaxy S II range in the US that will have an LED notification light.

The light is located near the earpiece, glowing in blue whenever there is an action item that requires your attention such as an unread text message or incoming email that’s sitting pretty in your inbox, awaiting a reply. The LED notification is certainly useful to know whether you need to check out the content of an email or text message at a glance without requiring the hassle of unlocking the handset. Of course, over the course of time, you might end up seeing phantom “blinks”.

Out of the three models of the Galaxy S II in the US, which model appeals to you the most?
