playGo USB offers wireless audio capability

Going wireless is definitely the lifestyle of choice for many people these days, taking into account the sales of Bluetooth devices as well as Wi-Fi enabled gizmos. Well, the playGo USB device from Bicom will do its bit to liberate you from being tethered to a computer or TV. At $450 a pop, it will come with a transmission unit that will hook up via a microUSB connection to your computer, while the receiver which will “talk” to your Hi-Fi with RCA or Optical cables.

Want to stream some songs? That’s a snap – just make sure that you remain within a range of 75 feet, where it will automatically pair up with the 2.4GHz band so that your ears will be able to hear 24-bit sound that is sent over to the home audio set up of your choice.

To make the playGo look clearly different from the rest of the pack, it was specially made using Corian – the same kind of material that normally sees action on kitchen counter tops, while some LEDs will also add more color to your musical experience. It retails for $400 a pop if you’re interested.
