Kyocera Oblique goes through the FCC

Another day goes by, and the FCC has their hands full with a bunch of upcoming consumer electronics to review and sift through, making sure it is safe enough to be released to the public for everyday use. This time around, we have an Android-powered smartphone known as the Kyocera Oblique, which it has been rumored to replace the Samsung Intercept on Sprint.

The Kyocera Oblique is tipped to be released this coming September 9th, where it will arrive in either pink or black shades – no prizes for guessing which would be the more popular color if the guys intend to pick this up for themselves.

You will find EV-DO Rev. 0 support with the Kyocera Oblique, in addition to a QVGA display, a QWERTY slide-out keyboard, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, a 3-megapixel camera as well as Android 2.3 Gingerbread right out of the box – which is a good thing, since that means you need not wait for a software update when the phone arrives. No idea on price point at the moment, but this seems to be an entry-level or mid-range Android phone.
