HighPoint RocketU Quad USB 3.0 PCI-E card for Mac Pro

While the PC world has gone and busied themselves by making sure that their latest offerings come with USB 3.0 ports, Apple has instead opted to go a different route with Intel’s Thunderbolt technology. The lack of Thunderbolt peripherals is a bit disappointing, and let’s not forget that the ones available are commanding premium prices, but if you own a Mac Pro, which has yet to feature the Thunderbolt technology, and you’re looking for speedy transfers between your devices and your Mac Pro, HighPoint has a solution for you.

If you have any experience taking out or adding new hardware to your Mac Pro, HighPoint’s RocketU Quad USB 3.0 PCI-E card might be something worth considering, especially if you’re in the need for speedy data transfers between your devices. As the name implies, the RocketU Quad USB 3.0 will feature four USB 3.0 ports, with each port boasting speeds of 5Gbps, and not only that, they will also be backwards compatible with USB 2.0.
