If you’ve always wondered about the steps that Google goes through to improve its search engine, you’re in luck. The company has just released a blog post detailing the work that it does each time they make a change or improvement to Google. They don’t just make changes to the search algorithm just because they feel like it: they actually put each feature through rigorous scientific testing, and if it doesn’t give them the results they hope for, they won’t launch the change. This goes to show that if you’re unhappy about the latest changes made to its search engine, you’re probably in the minority – they’ve got scientific data saying that it works (except in the Panda fiasco earlier this year).
