Google+ improves invitation system

Google+ hasn’t been out for a long time and it has already been reported to have hit 18 million users last month, but a lot of users still don’t have all their friends on the service yet. One of the drawbacks to the current invitation system is that users need to know the email address of the people they are inviting. And since we don’t have the email addresses of everyone we know, this has become a minor issue. It seems that enough people have complained about it, and Google has listened to those complaints.

The company has just announced that it will be rolling out a new feature over the next few days to make invitations easier. When this new feature arrives, all users need to do to invite their friends onto the service is just generate a link by clicking the “invite friends” button, and then sharing the link with all their friends. A much simpler way to get everyone in don’t you think?

But since Google+ is still in the field trial stage, it will be limiting sign-ups from the links to 150 per person – but that should be plenty of friends for you to add to your network.
