Swiss army knife USB drives seem to be all the rage now – I mean, why spend money on a thumb drive that only stores files when you can get one that comes with a screwdriver as well? But some of those Swiss army knife USB drives aren’t suitable for everybody – for example, why would a school teacher need a can opener or a similar tool? They’d be better off with something like a paper clip for holding papers together.
That’s where Elecom’s new drives come in. The company has just announced the, aptly named, Data clip – a USB drive that functions as a paper clip as well as an external storage device for transferring files from a computer. When not in use as a USB drive, the Data clip can also be used to keep your papers in order. No word on pricing or availability, but we can’t wait to see these drives on the market.
