Dell Vostro V131 comes with support for Verizon’s 4G LTE

Yesterday we reported about the updated Dell Inspiron 13z and 14z. Well along with the announcement (and release of the Inspiron 14z), Dell also announced the Vostro V131 laptop. For those who are unfamiliar, the Vostro series by Dell is targeted at enterprise users while the Inspiron is aimed at regular consumers.

What makes the Vostro V131 so special is that it supports Verizon’s 4G LTE connection (optional add-on), which we’re guessing makes a lot of sense given that enterprise users may require to be online constantly, and sometimes WiFi connections may not be available or too slow. However when Computer World contacted Dell, the spokeswoman did not mention when the 4G LTE option will be made available.

As far as the rest of the specs are concerned and according to the Dell website, the Vostra V131 will feature an Intel Celeron Dual-Core processor, 2GB DDR3 SDRAM, 13.3” HD LED display with 1366×768 resolution, 320GB SATA hard drive and will come loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium.

Granted that some of these specs aren’t exactly the most powerful, we’re guessing that when the time comes to order the device, some of these specs should be upgradable. The price listed on Dell’s website puts the Vostro V131 as $499 and it should be ready to ship come 1st of September.
