Granted there are privacy screen protectors, which basically are super shiny and essentially limits the viewing angle, but it looks like Apple is not content with those protectors and has plans to make iOS devices a lot more secure.
According to the patent, users would have to enable a privacy mode where basically the entire display turns into a Salvador Dali, and if you wish to see the contents of the screen as per normal, you would require a special pair of glasses, which when put on allows you to see the display as how it would look like normally.
Not just limited to business, the patent also suggests that it can be used in multiplayer games that are played on the same device, blurring one half of the screen so that the other player won’t be able to see what you’re doing.
If only we had that technology back when playing FPS games like Quake and Counterstrike, which resulted in a lot of players resorting to “ghosting” each other’s screens to gain the upper hand.
