Android Network Toolkit app turns anyone into a hacker

Ever wondered what it’s like to be a hacker? You’re probably curious as to what the fuss is all about and why people hack for fun and now there’s an app on Android that allows you to do just that. Called Android Network Toolkit, or Anti for short, the app basically allows anyone using it to gain access to other devices such as Windows computers, Android phones and even iOS devices as well.

If you’re wondering how can such an app be legal, it’s because the company behind it, Zimperium, specializes in security and the app was designed to be used by companies or individuals who wanted to test out the security on their networks, machines and even software which could be outdated, thus causing security vulnerabilities.

It features commands such as “Man-In-The-Middle” which basically allows you to eavesdrop on a machine, “Spy” and even allows the user to send “Attack” commands. Zimperium has even built their own trojan which will allow screenshots of the infected machine to be taken remotely or even ejecting its CD tray.

The best (or worst) part is that the app is free of charge, and will cost $10 for a corporate license, which basically means that just about anybody can get their hands on it as the app should be out next week. As much as Zimperium hopes that the app will be used for good, we’re pretty sure that there are a handful of malicious users out there who will go about causing a bit of chaos with it. In a note left in the app by Zimperium, “Please remember, with great power comes great responsibility. Use it wisely.”
