Now whether you love or hate that particular feature, according to the rumors, backlit keyboards will be making a return in this year’s refresh of the MacBook Air. Apple Insider has claimed that:
“According to people familiar with the matter, backlit keyboards will join the string of hardware enhancements planned for the new 11.6- and 13.3-inch notebooks, which are also expected to adopt high-speed Thunderbolt ports, an upgrade to Intel’s Sandy Bridge architecture, and possibly high-speed 400MBps flash memory.”
I guess we won’t know until we actually see the device for ourselves. Now if the rumors of OS X Lion making an appearance on the 14th of July are to be believed, then we will not have to wait long for the MacBook Air to hit the shelves, which many believe was delayed as Apple wanted to wait for OS X Lion to be ready before they deployed it on the MacBook Air.
