LulzSec spokesperson Topiary arrested (Update)

Update: The police might have been tricked into apprehending the wrong person – it seems that website LulzSecurityExposed claims Topiary is a 23-year-old Swede. The UK authorities did not comment on the situation as to whether they bagged the right person or not, so we look forward to an update as well.

A 19-year old man was picked up by the long arm of the law in the UK, where he has been accused to actually be the real life persona of Topiary, LulzSec’s spokesperson. If the name LulzSec sounds extremely familiar to you but you can’t quite put your finger on it, that is because LulzSec has wrecked havoc all over the Internet, hacking into different companies’ servers as a show of power.

It seems that Topiary will most likely be extradited across the pond to the US, where he should receive a sentence from the judge that might result in him not getting access to a computer for eons. Man, that would suck – perhaps he might want to leave a final remark on his Facebook account’s Wall, and hope that in a decade’s time when he is released, there will still be a Facebook around.

Or, he could always end up in jail and write a book while he is at it, getting paid far more in return compared to most of us working class people.
