Panasonic PT-AE7000U Full HD 3D home theater projector

Whenever you walk into the doors of any electronics store or showcase, surely your eyes will be drawn to the bevy of super slim displays out there, many of them sporting extremely thin bezels and playing the more recent blockbusters. Sometimes, there are even invitations for you to enjoy 3D viewing, and more often than not, you would see Avatar being played. Well, TVs are one thing, but if you truly want a cinematic experience in the comfort of your home, you won’t go wrong with a quality projector. Panasonic hopes to change the game with their PT-AE7000U, their first Full HD 3D home theater projector in the market.

Sporting 1080p (1,920 x 1,080 pixel) resolution, the PT-AE7000U also now holds the title of the world’s first 3D projector that relies on transparent LCD panels which are driven at 480Hz. When you use that in tandem with Panasonic’s very own Overdrive Technology, it results in extremely low crosstalk. This newly-developed optical engine will be able to deliver phenomenal performance – a 300,000:1 contrast ratio and 2,000 lumens of brightness.

Other 3D features of this new projector includes 2D-3D Conversion, where you will be able to enjoy 3D viewing of your current 2D content collection, with five different 3D effect modes to choose from. Out in September, this made in Japan projector is not going to come cheap as they retail for $3,499 a pop.
