Olympus SP-810UV is a 36x ultra zoom compact camera

When it comes to compact digital cameras, the lenses featured are usually somewhere in between a super-zoom or an ultra-wide lens. Photographers who do not wish to carry around a chunky DSLR and the accompanying zoom lenses will probably not be satisfied with the somewhat sparse choices of consumer compact digital cameras that claim to offer super-zoom capabilities. If you are one of the more discerning users, then perhaps Olympus’s latest offering of their SP-801UZ compact digital camera could be something worth checking out.

The Olympus SP-810UZ features 36x ultra zoom and has a 14MP image sensor along with a 3-inch viewfinder LCD display. It also packs Olympus’s TruePic III+ image processor under the hood. The camera also features both mechanical and digital image stabilization, enhanced low-light capabilities (down to ISO 3200 in manual mode), and brings with it the ability to shoot 1080p HD video which can then be played back on a big screen via the HDMI output.

It also comes with 10 “Magic Filters” that can be applied to both still images and videos such as Miniature and Reflection. The Olympus SP-810UZ will be available this September in a black and silver finish and will cost £229.99.
