Motorola Titanium arriving this July 24th
You know, when it comes to credit cards, there used to be the regular credit card with Gold being the next logical upgrade when you have achieved that promotion at the workplace. Well, it seems as though Gold is the basic card these days, with other classes such as Platinum and even Titanium now. It makes us wonder whether the Motorola Titanium will live up to its name then when July 24th rolls around? The Titanium is envisioned to be a rugged business smartphone, sporting a full QWERTY keyboard so that you need not rely on some pansy virtual keyboard which tends to lead to more typos – a huge no-no when you’re hammering out some business critical emails.
Needless to say, just like many other tough and rugged devices, the Motorola Titanium takes the same design path, looking rather boring. Guess there is a trade-off for everything in life, no? At least it conforms to military specifications for dust, shock, vibration, extreme temperatures, low pressure, and solar radiation, just in case you are the next Green Lantern and need to send some other monstrosity to our burning sun.
The Motorola Titanium will retail for $240 with a 2-year contract, and we’re stoked about it save for the Android 2.1 Eclair operating system. Come on now, surely Motorola can do better than that considering many people are already rocking to Android 2.3 Gingerbread!
