Those who fell in love with the Motorola DROID right from its very first iteration because of the glowing red eye will be pleased to know that this smartphone is now in its third generation, aptly known as the DROID 3. Being available from Verizon Wireless at the moment, you can pick it up for $199 a pop – on a two-year contract, of course. For those who prefer to not get tied down to contracts and all of its nuances, there is an alternative, which is to fork out $459.
Just to recap, this smartphone is going to be rather high up there in terms of the pecking order, sporting a 5-row slide-out QWERTY keyboard for easy messaging and emailing, not to mention a dual-core 1GHz processor that offers multi-tasking capability that won’t leave you waiting – assuming the software and apps have been optimized, of course.
Be ahead of the competition with Android 2.3 Gingerbread right out of the box, the DROID 3 also sports a 4″ qHD display and full HD video recording capability. Are you stoked yet?
