Star Wars fans, are you ready for this? It seems that there have been some whisperings that Microsoft may be prepping a limited edition R2-D2 themed Xbox 360 console for release either towards the end of this year or in 2012. We highly doubt that it won’t look anything like the photo above, which was a custom made model.
If the rumors are true, it looks like the actual version won’t be as exciting, as the console is said to be getting just a new paint job in white and blue, keeping to the colors of R2-D2. The Kinect sensor has also been reported to receive a palette change as well, which we’re guessing will be somewhere along the same lines as the console.
This is most probably in conjunction with the launch of the Kinect Star Wars which should be seeing a launch in November. For now we’ll have to take this rumor with a grain of salt, but a question to Star Wars fans out there – would you be willing to trade in your current Xbox for an R2-D2 edition?
