As the successor to the MIDI Mobilizer (the world’s first MIDI interface for iOS devices), the MIDI Mobilizer II picks up where its predecessor left off by implementing support for CoreMIDI (used by GarageBand and other newer recording apps). All users have to do is plug in their MIDI instruments into the MIDI Mobilizer II, plug the Mobilizer II into their iOS device, and then run a CoreMIDI music app to start recording their music.
For users who don’t have any other apps they can use the MIDI Mobilizer II with, they can download the MIDI Memo Recorder (a Line 6 app free from the App Store) to play, record and back up MIDI data. The MIDI can then be exported for use with regular MIDI devices such as keyboards, guitar amplifiers and multi-effect processors. The MIDI Mobilizer II is compatible with the iPod Touch (3rd and 4th generation), iPhone (3GS and 4) and the iPad (1 and 2) and will set you back $69.99. Find out more.
