BlueAnt Embrace headset does not do wireless
Headphones are something that most of us have – one pair at the very least. BlueAnt has just announced that they have released the Embrace Bluetooth headset which strangely, goes against what most BlueAnt devices offer – a wireless connection. Having said that, why is the Embrace wired? Well, this unit can deliver high-quality stereo sound that is normally associated with headphones, apart from an integrated mic and control mechanism which should be extremely familiar to smartphone owners. Perhaps that’s the price to pay if audio quality and functionality is higher up on your list compared to going wireless.
The Embrace is also the company’s first hard-wired product – where it is made up of premium leather and metal, which results in it delivering an almost-perfectly flat frequency response alongside a highly-optimized 40mm driver. The unit won’t skimp on the cable length though at 36″, sporting a standard 3.5mm-to-6.3mm adapter for phones in addition to catering for other devices. To make sure it remains safe and sound from knocks and scratches, the Embrace can be stashed away in a protective faux-leather case.
Out for $200 a pop, it does sound rather pricey. What do you think? [PDF Press Release]
