I am a big fan of Bang & Olufsen beautifully designed products despite their insane price tags. B&O represents the haute couture of the consumer electronics industry, and you always need a brand like that to make your gadget dreams come true.
Today the Danish manufacturer is launching BeoSound 5 Encore, the new addition to the BeoSound 5 digital music system family released in March 2009.
BeoSound Encore 5 is a digital music system that offers access to more than 13,000 internet radio stations, offering a huge variety of musical choices from all over the world.
B&O promises no hassles for the non-geeks with minimal configuration, a beautiful user interface featuring an aluminum scroll wheel and a state-of-the-art recommendation engine powered by the patented MOTS (More of the Same) algorithm that monitors the unique personality of a track based on parameters such as sound, dynamics and rhythm and then builds a playlist of similar music.
The geeks will be happy to know that the device can be connected via USB or wirelessly to a plethora of sources: a connected hard disc, a NAS server, a computer, a USB stick or a mobile device. A single server supports up to eight BeoSound 5 Encores for playing simultaneously different songs in different rooms of your palace.
BeoSound 5 Encore features a 10.4” full graphical display, a “magical wheel” that easily scrolls hidden sockets hidden for concealed and elegant cabling are accessible below the display for connecting devices such as USB sticks, portable players or headphones . Check out the demo in the video below
