AT&T discounts Amazon Kindle 3G with Special Offers

For those of you who’ve been holding out on getting the Amazon Kindle 3G with Special Offers, your patience has been rewarded. Amazon has just announced that the Kindle 3G with Special Offers has just been given a pretty good price reduction, thanks to the folks at AT&T. The Amazon Kindle 3G with Special Offers was released earlier this year back in May with a price tag of $164, but starting today you’ll be able to get your hands on one for just $139.

AT&T has offered to sponsor the screensavers on the Kindle 3G with Special Offers, thus they’ve been able to reduce the price of the device for you late comers out there. Just like the Kindle 3G, the Special Offers variant will feature no additional monthly fees, data plans or annual contracts for 3G access globally – imagine being able to download books from anywhere you want, all over the world, without having to hunt for a WiFi spot (provided there’s coverage of course). The AT&T-sponsored Kindle 3G with Special Offers is available starting today.
