ASUS To Release ProArt PA238Q Monitors For Professionals

The ASUS ProArt PA238Q monitors are monitors that ASUS claims have been designed for the professional user in mind. For regular consumers, monitors are just monitors and most just look for screen size when making a purchase. The slightly more tech-savvy consumer may look at other features such as refresh rate and screen response time, the faster the better. However when it comes to the professional, more advanced features will be looked at, such as richer color gamut.

ASUS’s upcoming offering of the ProArt PA238Q has been claimed to be one of those monitors, although the pricing has yet to be revealed, although we can only assume that it should be priced higher than typical consumer monitors. For starters the monitor claims to have a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, along with IPS display technology which is said to give the user 178-degree viewing angles, along with plane switching technology which is said to reduce light and color distortion for better image reproduction.

The ProArt PA238Q also claims a contrast ratio of 50,000,000:1, which would result in noticeable changes even with small changes in settings. The monitor measures 23-inches diagonally and also comes with the ability to swivel the monitor into a more vertical position. The monitor is also said to come with multi-connectivity options, such as DVI-D, DisplayPort, HDMI and even four USB ports, which means you will be able to hook up multiple video sources.

The monitor even comes with ASUS’s QuickFit Virtual Scale software which the company claims will allow the display of photos and documents in true size on the screen. No specific date has been mentioned regarding the release of the monitor, although it has been reported that it should be out in the next couple months.
