One of ASUS’ upcoming tablets, the Eee Pad Slider has been reported to be delayed until September, but it looks like the folks in Phone House Portugal don’t think it’s too early to start generating some interest for the device. Phone House Portugal has been spotted listing the WiFi-only version of the sliding tablet/netbook hybrid in one of its catalogs, along with a $689 (€479) ($502 (€349) on contract) price tag.
In case you weren’t in the know, the ASUS Eee Pad Slider packs a 10.1″ IPS 1280 x 800 display, a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC, 1GB of RAM, 16/32 GB internal storage, WiFi, Bluetooth, mini HDMI and USB 2.0 ports, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, a 5-megapixel rear camera, stereo speakers and Google Android Honeycomb.
The tablet missed its May launch date and only made its way to the FCC recently. Hopefully there won’t be anymore delays in the future. Anybody interested in picking this up?
