Apple Thunderbolt Display unveiled

Apple achieves yet another first with their Thunderbolt display which is touted to be the first of its kind in the world that sports Thunderbolt I/O technology, where it is also described as “the ultimate docking station for your Mac notebook”. Using but a solitary cable, you are able to hook up a Thunderbolt-enabled Mac to the 27″ Apple Thunderbolt Display, gaining instant access to its FaceTime camera, high quality audio, and Gigabit Ethernet, FireWire 800, USB 2.0 and Thunderbolt ports. Specially designed for Mac notebooks, this new display will work well with notebooks of other makes, although it will not be able to live up to its full potential. 

Sporting a really nice external outlook thanks to an elegant, thin, aluminum and glass enclosure, the new Thunderbolt display will also feature a MagSafe connector which can juice up your MacBook Pro or MacBook Air without missing a beat. Relying on IPS technology for brilliant images, this display boasts of an ultra wide 178 degree viewing angle, a built-in FaceTime HD video camera, a 2.1 speaker system, a trio of USB 2.0 ports, one FireWire 800 port, one Gigabit Ethernet port and a Thunderbolt port – that get this, can be daisy chained to up to five additional Thunderbolt devices.
