Acoustic Lab’s Zeta 2.0 speakers look stylish for a reason

A good set of speakers will change the way you view a song, as it opens up a whole new spectrum of sound and reveals the various subtleties that you might have missed out on, and that might have gotten lost coming out of your laptop’s speakers. Not willing to compromise on both sound and design, Dutch designer Christian M. Andersen came up with the Acoustic Lab Zeta 2.0 speakers.

If you think that the shape of the speakers was crafted that way solely for design purpose, you would be wrong, as the shape of speakers not only look visually appealing, but apparently it helps to form the optimal exit point for sound. The rounded shape of the speakers are also said to remove all parallel surfaces, thereby eliminating the usual noise nuisances one would get from standing waves in a cabinet.

Specs wise, the speakers have a frequency range of 110 to 20.000 Hz, with each speaker unit weighing a hefty 1.6kg, while the amplifier works in a range of 20 to 20.000 Hz and weighs an even heftier 3.15kg. They are available at Acoustic Lab’s website and come in three colors of either onyx black, garnet red or ceramic white and they will cost you 249 Euros, which is roughly $355.
