Not all things tend to work out as planned, as that is what life is all about. After all, if everything were to pan out just as you wanted, isn’t it Utopia you’re living on instead of earth? Just like folks in the UK who placed their pre-orders for Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Pro at the beginning of June, it seemed as though the handset that was supposed to be out later this month will ship in late July instead after a revision of its estimates.
According to Sony Ericsson’s update of its UK-based web store, the Xperia Pro is now shown as “Available late JULY”. Let us keep our fingers crossed that this will be the last of launch date revisions, but then again it isn’t the first time that the delay train has just one stop, as there were instances in the past of a release date being postponed time and again – with Duke Nukem Forever being one of the most classic examples one can fall back upon, although it has finally made its way to being released soon.
This delay does not mean that pre-orders for the Xperia Pro have closed, where it is touted to retail for around $575 thereabouts after conversion, sporting a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 3.7″ Bravia-powered 854 x 480 resolution display, with an 8-megapixel rear camera as well as a 2-megapixel front camera.
