First of all, there is the new Shuttle R4 Series with the SH61R4 and SA76R4 going under the spotlight. These two models will be the first from Shuttle that will come with an aluminum chassis, supporting mini-ITX motherboards so that consumers are able to upgrade in the future without missing a beat. The R4’s key highlight would be USB 3.0 support, making it future-proof to a certain degree. Other standard Shuttle signatures would be the small size in a stylish design, working in a stable and quiet manner to boot thanks to its famous Shuttle I.C.E. heat-pipe.
As for the SH61R4 that wil cater for Intel processors, this motherboard will be based on Intel’s H61 Express Chipset, sporting 2nd generation Intel Core i7, i5, or i3 CPUs for Socket LGA 1155 (95W). Shuttle also hasn’t forgotten about AMD owners with the SA76R4, being “a new take on the proven everyday platform” that carries AMD’s Athlon AM3 and AM3+ CPUs (95W).
