The Nintendo 3DS has been available for awhile now, but it hasn’t been snapped up all over the world due to the fact that a number of people are waiting for the device to get “better”. Well it looks like that wait is about to end. A new update is coming for the gaming console, and it brings some long-awaited features to the 3DS that should have been present at launch.
Coming this June 6, Nintendo will be rolling out a major update for the 3DS that brings a web browser, the Nintendo eShop, the Pokedex 3D and a free game in the form of the Nintendo classic motorbike racing game, Excitebike. Oh and let’s not forget – the ability to transfer your DSiware from your DSi or DSi XL to your 3DS.
The eShop lets users buy new 3D games, classic games remastered for the 3DS, Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles, and over 350 DSiWare games. And seeing how there’s a shortage of games for the 3DS at the moment, this boost in the console’s catalog should garner more customers for the console. Keep an eye out for the update notification next Monday, June 6th.
