One of the exciting features revealed for iOS 5 is the ability to snap photographs using the iPhone’s Volume up button. Well, some folks have done some experimenting and realized that this volume up functionality extends beyond the scope of the phone’s own buttons, and it works when used with an iPhone headset as well (if it has buttons for increasing the volume).
While this brings to mind some stealthily taken photographs without people knowing, it does have its legit uses as well. Assuming it does work with a Bluetooth headset, just get yourself a tripod for the iPhone and you’ll have a pretty decent remote camera rig.
