Any idea on why there was this turnabout? Was it due to consumer pressure, or could it have been a publicity stunt on HTC’s side to see the reaction of HTC Desire owners before deciding whether it was worth it or not to roll out the Gingerbread update? We won’t really know at the moment (or perhaps, forever), but at least it goes to show that you still have a voice on the Internet.
If you are an HTC Desire owner, we do hope that this news would have galvanized your day, so make sure you enjoy Android 2.3 Gingerbread when it rolls out at last!
