Habey offers Post It-sized computer

Habey has introduced its latest Intel Atom-powered computer that is really, really small. How small, you ask? Well, we are looking at a Post It size, and yet despite its diminutive outlook, it is capable of displaying dual full screen HD video – which just goes to show you should not judge a book by its cover, or in this case, a computer’s capabilities by its size. The E6XX Tunnel Creek QSeven computer module actually managed to cram in the memory controller, graphics processing unit capable of encoding and decoding HD video, and CPU, all onto a single chip.

Measuring a mere 70mm x 70mm in size, this module will sport the latest range of Intel Atom E6XX processors, delivering speeds of 600MHz all the way to 1.6 GHz if you need additional processing muscle, alongside a low power consumption of 3.3 – 7 Watts, respectively. As for the integrated GMA600 graphics inside, it will be based on a 400MHz PowerVR SGX mobile GPU that handles high definition video encoding and decoding with aplomb. Having it work with up to 2GB DDR2 RAM, this device is one potent tiny machine.

Other hardware configurations include half a dozen USB 2.0 ports, two gigabit Ethernet, two serial ports, one CAN Bus, two Serial ATA ports, one SD memory card reader, one mini-PCIe slot and a PCIe x1 slot.
