Google knows that you never get a second chance at a first impression, which is why they have come up with a revamp of their mobile search interface that enables one to easily access data to restaurants, bars and coffee shops all within the vicinity of your phone – in a manner that is newbie friendly to boot. Too bad for local search businesses such as Yelp, no? The event known as “Inside Search” that was held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco showed off a bunch of new features that will grace both its mobile and desktop search products.
Google’s mobile version will let those icons be instantly accessible at the bottom of the search display. Apart from that, it will also receive a spanking new translate feature for Google Goggles, letting you point your handset at a foreign language, letting its built-in digital camera to capture an image of that text so that instant text translation can be performed.
